The only taco shop I'll go to for carne asada fries! I make the 20 min drive to go get my carne asada fries here! We usually get carne asada fries & roll tacos here. The fries are stuffed & they give a good amount. As for the roll tacos, we add pico de gallo to them & it adds a good taste of freshness (makes me feel like I'm eating "healthy" lol) The cashier is always friendly & the wait time can usually be like 10-20mins. The inside has a couple booth tables & 2 entrances to the place. They can get busy during the evening & weekends but totally worth the wait!

Humberto's is always amazing!! The food is great and the price is fare. Great customer service and I like the new upgraded amenities - i.e. new menus board and new wooden ceiling. There is also added security cameras. The line was long but it moved quickly. The carne asada burrito was juicy and tender. The chicken asada was well seasoned. I come here all the time when I am coming from LA. Nobody does taco shops like the way they do it in San Diego! 5

I give this place ~3.9/5 stars. It's not bad at all, but it's also not nearly the best taco shop I've been to in Southern California. I tried the California burrito and a carnitas taco. The burrito was better than the taco--the carnitas was kind of odd, more like little bits of pork belly, and had a strange aftertaste. The burrito was filled up with carne asada, though I wish it had had more cheese. The interior is kind of dump-y, but it's also in the hood kinda, so it's what you'd expect. No one would really come hear expecting glamor and glitz. The staff are cool and easygoing. I'll need to try a couple other things to make a final decision about it.

This place is pretty unassuming, but serves up some legit California burritos. Parking could be difficult (as it it is only street parking next to a tire shop and the residential), but I was able to find a parking spot right across the shop. I walked up to the counter and the cashier was very friendly and helpful. I ordered 2 California burritos. We sat down on the tables and waited for our orders. After a short wait, we got our burritos and I was able to ask for the salsa verde and salsa roja. If you're in the mood for dessert, there was a lady selling desserts (I'm unsure if they were unaffiliated or affiliated with the restaurants) and they looked pretty good. The burrito was worth the wait. I took the first bite and was satisfied....the combination of beef and fries was great! The addition of the salsa verde made it even better! I decided to add the salsa roja and was pleasantly surprised by how spicy it was. Be careful with the red sauce!

This place is authentic, delicious, fast, and affordable. Everything you could ever want in your neighborhood Mexican place, and much better than some over hyped places like tacos El Gordo or Oscars. The location is a bit sketchy, but like come on... Isn't that where the best Mexican food is? And like when I'm done eating, you can feel it on the way out the next day if you know what I mean, but that only adds to the excellence that is Humerto's! But actually though, I wouldn't overdo it on their salsa as it can be quite spicy. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this as a go to quick take out place for authentic and cheap Mexican food!

Been craving a chimichanga for a month or so now, so I decided to stop by here. Have had their tacos before and those are AWESOME so figured why not. Surely didn't disappoint!!! Service was friendly, food order was fast, green salsa was good........ And the Chimi??? DAMN good!!!!!! Good flavor meat, a little of everything that's supposed to be in it with pick & lettuce on the side. I'll probably have my next chimi here in about 6 months when I get the craving again!!!
